Badminton Drills

If you are a serious badminton player, it is crucial that you do drills so that you can improve your game. There are many different drills that one can do to increase his or her badminton skills. This includes wall wally, shadow badminton, half court singles and two-versus-one.

Wall Wally

Wall Wally is a great method of improving the speed of your feet and strengthening your arm and wrist muscles. Wall Wally requires you to hit an old shuttle against a wall. When the shuttle rebounds against the wall, your wrist muscles activate as a result. This can make your reflexes faster than a cat.

Shadow Badminton

Shadow badminton is an excellent method of improving your feet movement, as well as your overall fitness. Shadow badminton is when you practice the right movements without actually hitting a shuttle. Have a partner lead you to all of the areas of the court. This also helps you learn your way around a badminton court.

Half Court Singles

Half court singles also improves your feet movement and increases your stamina. This very fun game helps you place more accurate shots. This is a very effective method of improving your overall game.

Two Versus One

This is perhaps the best method of improving your singles game. It is one of the best ways to improve your overall speed, fitness, and shot accuracy. Two people play against you and take a front back position like they would in singles. Playing against two people forces you to work harder.

All of these badminton drills are very effective methods of improving your badminton skills. Therefore, if you are a serious badminton player, you should aim to incorporate these drills when training.
