Badminton Scoring

Badminton is a racquet game much like tennis. However, badminton is played with a shuttlecock instead of a tennis ball. The shuttle is often called a birdie because of the feathers that overlap to make the cone. Players score points by hitting the shuttlecock over the net onto the opponent's side of the court. The opponent can hit the shuttlecock back over the net. This is called a rally. A rally ends when the shuttlecock hits the court floor, and a point is scored when a rally ends.
Scoring
The object of the game is to score 21 points. However, the game must be won by two points. The players continue to play after 20 points until one of the players is winning by two points or until the score reaches 30. The first player who reaches 30 points wins the match. However, the score differs based on the numbers of players.
Scoring difference based on players
If the game is played in doubles, only one of the players in the team of doubles is allowed to serve throughout each rally. If the server is serving from the right side of their court, the server must hit the shuttlecock into the right side of the opponent's court.
While some find badminton difficult, it is a fun and leisurely sport for any occasion. The scoring system is not as difficult as it seems, and you are sure to have fun for years when you get to know it.
